John Chai had previously studied in the US and worked in the Japanese restaurant. Its Teochew style Bak Kut Teh is more bland and fragrant, served with ingredients like danggui, ginseng root, cinnamon and radix polygonati. The soup base is prepared with old hen and tastes excellent. This modified Bak Kut Tea dish also includes vegetables and mushrooms that absorbs excess oils and reduces oilness.
